La Fondation Place Coco
is a registered charity (BN#85521 1629 RR00001) operating as a not for profit organization managing a preschool in Montreal-West, QC, since September 2008. The program at The Little Red Playhouse and Coco’s Place offers a regular preschool curriculum for neuro-typical children whereby we integrate children diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We remain unique in our approach and we have wonderful results. Having said that, our biggest challenge is securing funding as we rely solely on private donors. La Fondation Place Coco was founded as a result of a personal journey and frustration due to lack of services for children and families coping with young children that are diagnosed with an Autistic disorder presenting itself before the age of 2. In most cases, the children appear normal and perhaps a bit slower than the average child, then between 18 months and 2 years.
